It's time to start state testing! We will begin on Monday 12-8 and go through the week. Our time is 9-9:45 daily. We will be working on reading, then math. During this week the only homework will be reading and basic facts practice. Please make sure your child get enough rest and breakfast so they can be ready to go!
Great job on the candle sales. We raised over $4000 for our field trip in April. We will be sending home forms and information on how much money your child will need after winter vacation. Looking forward to a great time:)
We will also be saying goodbye to Miss Wells next week. She has been an amazing help to our class this year. We will all miss her and wish her well in her teaching career.

December
It's already December, wow! Thanks to all of you for coming to the conferences last week, I appreicate your support. For the next few weeks we will be studying the skeletal system, coordinate geometry and working on writing. We will also be gearing up for state testing which starts on December 8. Daily we will be in the computer lab from 9:00-9:45 working on reading and math. Results will be immediate which will help us target areas that need work.
Below is the spelling list for the week of December 1.

Homework for the week of December 1: Reading 20 minutes per day
Monday: Use 10 words in a sentence, write 10 in cursive.
Tuesday: Coordinate geography practice
Wednesday: Create a 4 square about your favorite party or celebration you have been to.
Thursday: Handwriting Letter F
Candle Fundraiser will end on December 2. Please have all candle orders and money turned in by this date. We want to insure they are delivered by Winter Vacation. Orders without money cannot be ordered.
